Christmas Woes Dec. 28th, 2009 @ 09:26 pm
[info]2dogsnme
Just as I thought Christmas was going to be fantabulous this year, a horribly malicious crime had to be inflicted upon me.

Some stupid bugger hacked into my Gmail, Hotmail and Facebook account, and sent out disgusting fake emails in my name from my Gmail account to EVERYONE I have ever e-mailed before in my life, including my previous and current employers, as well as my extended family members. The e-mails were defamatory and are written to completely ruin my reputation. One of them even implicated one of my best friends as it revealed personal information about her relationship with her sister and her. Till date, I think she's still pissed at me even though she knew it wasn't my fault.

Anyhoo, thankfully the TechnoCrime CID Experts are on the case and the freaking asshole didn't find my livejournal or god knows what he would have posted here. He has sent out 4 personal e-mails, of which 2 were edited and untrue to defame me and my friend. Afterwhich, he has joyously deleted ALL my e-mails in my inbox AND sent items, and deleted every one of my contacts in my gmail and hotmail so I no longer have any of my friends' emails. He has also taken the liberty to completely destroy my facebook account with all my comments/ photos/ personal notes such that my boyfriend is now 'In a relationship' with *blank*.

Was it a case of me using too simple passwords and the same password for all accounts? Nope. The passwords for my gmail, facebook, hotmail and livejournal are all different, and all of them contain some capital alphabets and numbers. As it turns out, it doesn't take a genius to hack into your system, NO MATTER what your passwords are. If they have some basic knowledge of who you are, such as your parents' first names, part of your address (you can google the postal code online), workplace, best friends, etc, all they have to do is click on the 'Forgot password' button in each respective account, fill out any basic info and answer your security question if it is easy enough, and get a new password sent to a separate email account to take over yours. This means that anyone whom you consider a friend, or an acquaintance who knows your friends and asks the right questions about you can hack into your system if they choose to. So it isn't just about keeping your password idiot-proof, but also ensuring that you change your security question at least once every few months, making sure that the question can only be answered by yourself and your direct family members.

So do I have a suspect? Yep, an asshole whom I stopped associating myself with because after a couple of months of knowing him and helping him with his father and anger issues, he turned psycho and stalker on me. It got to the point where I had to make an official police harrassment report against him in July, and when he saw me get together with the bf, well, he must have turned even more psychotic and decided to go all out to make me lose my job and relationship. Fucker.

Well, when we clamp down on the moron, he's going to die and BURN IN HELL, because such crimes are deemed as extremely serious and the punishments are incredibly severe in sunny Singapore. Most of the provisions of the Computer Misuse Act carry a maximum fine up to $10,000 Singaporean dollars and/or imprisonment up to three years for a first offense. For the second and subsequent offenses, the penalty is a fine up to $20,000 Singaporean dollars and/or imprisonment up to five years. If there was damage caused as a result of the crime, the penalty is a fine up to $50,000 and/or imprisonment up to seven years.

Sometimes, I must say: Hao xin mei hao bao. The bf blames my trusting nature and idealism in wanting to make this world a better place, and putting my own safety at risk. Maybe this is why so many Singaporeans have become so untrusting - because of such PsychoMorons out there.

I pui them. I pui them all.

With that, I'm signing off with a Stay safe and keep your computers and accounts hacker-free note. Hope your Christmas and holidays have been a much better one than mine, and remember that technology can be both a boon and a bane.

Oh my god....! Dec. 27th, 2009 @ 11:58 am

I cannot believe I've forsaken this blog for 8 months already! My friend once told me when a person starts to blog less, it sorta means that his/her life is great and there is nothing much to rant about. Well, what can I say, have to agree with her in a way.

Life's been pretty exciting for me because THE ROM is coming up next month! *squeals* Time flies, we've been talking about getting married for the longest time and finally we'll be tying the knot next month! I'm getting pretty nervous! Good nervous of course! Somehow, I like the feeling of him addressing me as his wife. HAHA! I've heard how friends introduced their other halves as their wives and it seemed pretty normal to everyone. Like oh yea, that's his wife. Period. I dunno if i'm insane but I get extremely delightful when he calls me his wife. Like wow, I'm somebody's wife now, I'm more than being a girlfriend, that's a nice feeling. I bet everyone else just thinks that I'm his wife that's all, guess i'm putting too much thoughts into ONE WORD. Bah!

Anyway, the ROM ain't anything too "ching chong", we're doing a high tea reception in a hotel and inviting about 30 guests.. This is a strictly friends-only occasion, so no relatives. The relatives will be invited to our wedding dinner in Sept instead.

There isn't much preparation needed as we're keeping it really really simple. It is mainly a time for us to gather all our close friends together to celebrate our holy matrimony. So, yeap, counting down to our big day now! :)

Blackberry WiFi Problems Dec. 24th, 2009 @ 04:42 am
[info]foxyseven
Leaving in 2 hours..... Excited!

But not as panicky as when i realized that my WiFi on the 9700 is was condemned. Threw the problem to the genius of a boyfriend, but turns out that he couldn't solve it either, even after with Google's help. : <

It kept giving me error messages. "Failed to get IP" was the main reason. Tinkered with the phone, played with router options.... None works.

He went off to sleep (he prob stayed up for 1.5 hrs just to try solving this problem for me) and when i clicked on one of the pages he was google-ing and scrolled further down, I saw a solution/suggestion which looked interesting and try-able. And it works! At least for me.

So for all of you who have problems with your BB's WiFi, now you can solve it! Basically, you need to register your WiFi with BlackBerry.

Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Register WiFi (60)

Hover over WiFi (60), click the menu button and select REGISTER.

You gotta have your mobile network on while doing this. Then when it registers, turn off your Mobile Network (Under Manage Connections) and TADAH! It WORKS!

I can receive push mail, tweet, fb, and even BBIM using this! Awesomeness. Now I won't have to get charged using Roaming/BIS overseas. So, YES! You can connect to BIS using just WiFi!

Wheeeeeeeeee. Now, to test if it works on Japan's networks...... I believe it does lah, 3G!

I <3 Google!

EOTD: Blue/Grey with Freshlook ColorBlends Sterling Grey Dec. 23rd, 2009 @ 03:32 pm
[info]foxyseven
When I first set my eyes on this pair of contact lenses, I knew what would be the perfect eyeshadow palette for this.

Shiseido Maquillage's Eyes Creator GR366!
(i dont have an image of it, so here's some pic i kop-ed from Lotus Palace, where she did a review of it.)

Get the lenses out.

Anyway, we'll start off with a clean, moisturized and scary naked face. Yes my eye rings are that horrible. : x

Then you proceed with foundation.

I'm using Chanel's Pro Lumiere in.... I forgot what shade.

Then you apply the eyeshadow.
I spread the white all over the base, then apply grey, and then plonk the green-blue color on top of the grey part, but only in the middle portion. So it's like a "highlight" color.

And then draw the eyeliner.
I'm using Maybelline Gel Eyeliner in Black. Love it, but I wanna try Kate's famous eyeliner! Gonna go get it in JP.

Finish off with blusher & highlighter. Blusher is damn important. I've been told that I look very pale without blusher. Bo pian, don't blush naturally nor do i have the pink cheeks look! My highlighter is white, from one of Shiseido's palette collab with Alexander Wang I think. (I broke 2 colors on that palette, my heart is aching *thump*)

And then let down the hair.
(had to wet & blow dry my fringe again cos it went out of shape due to using the hairband : x)

Sterling Grey is really natural and gorgeous. It's pretty flexible and suits many different colors. I'll prob be wearing this with Michelle's red coat for the first 3 days at Osaka since the blue is a bit tak match with red clothes! Counting down, 15 hours to go!

Berry Efficient Dec. 23rd, 2009 @ 11:11 am
[info]foxyseven
Ever since the berry has appeared in my life i think it hardly left my hands except only when i sleep and shower.

Eat barchor mee & satay, *types types types* *swipes*

(taken with my bb, but of cos.)

Take cab, *types types types* *swipes swipes*

Carrying luggage to my place, *holds on to berry tightly*

Holding hands with Yang, *one hand on his and one hand on my berry*

Before sleep, glasses off, *still typing away on the blackberry*

It's amazing he's not annoyed yet. XD

I have a habit of checking tweets, sms-es and emails on my phone when i wake up, before i roll off the bed. I used to do that with the E71 but always hopped out of bed eventually to uh, take further actions. But I'm so efficient on the berry, and the interface is chio till i can browse in peace, and it's so pretty and function-able till i complete all my tasks before i even get out of bed.

And then I have nothing to do/read on the laptop anymore! Except work that is.

*Grumbles*

Off to eat my tangyuan ta-paoed from home yesterday! I love my mum's food. Leaving for .co.jp tonight, feeling more stressed about work than excitement. ._. ....

Oh ya. One more pic of the very blue me now.

Freshlook ColorBlends - Brilliant Blue Contacts Dec. 22nd, 2009 @ 06:36 pm
[info]foxyseven
As most of you already know, I'm in this FreshLook competion vying to be the "Next Big Thing". And as a finalist, they are giving me 2 pairs of colored contacts. Any colors I want.

Since I've tried most of the colors when i was younger anyway, I picked the newer colors lah. The new colors they have in are:

Gemstone Green
Sterling Grey
Brilliant Blue

And I picked Sterling Grey + Brilliant Blue. Was gonna leave for Tokyo, and the nice folks at Ciba Vision gave me my contacts early. : D Yay new colors to match my new hair for the trip!

So today i went out to collect the contacts from Ciba Vision.

I think i'm supposed to do a write up, but i'm not sure what i'm supposed to write about but since i'm so excited about the colors anyway, I'll just write something by myself lah! Okay someone just called me and told me I have to do a write up while i was in the middle of writing this.

Anyway. I came home and immediately i took off my brown ones and put on the blue ones!

CHECK OUT THE BLUE!!!!!!!

OMG FAB!

This is a pair of FreshLooks Colorblends contacts, in the shade "Brilliant Blue".

The blue doesn't really match my hair's shade of blue, It would have been better with my blonde fringe but OMG! It's absolutely gorgeous lah! I know it looks a little stark and unnatural (got people's eyes so blue one ah) but i think it's a really great attention grabbing color. It looks totally awesome on Xiaxue.

I would totally use this color if i were ever cosplaying as a blue eyed character.

And oh, it makes my eyes look bigger than the brown ones. See:

Okay i think that looked a little scary and weird. I'm not Yuna afterall.

The boyfriend scrutinized me and said it looks natural. I think so too! Being a long time contact lens wearer, I know that some colored contacts can be quite uncomfortable. Esp those in the older days. But this is quite easy on the eyes, and it doesn't block my vision like how the others did. Just to play safe though, since i'll be in cold cold 5-degree Tokyo, i should be dripping eye drops pretty often just so it'll be more comfortable for my eyes.

More cam-whore photos:

Thanks Ciba Vision/Freshlook!

I'll blog about the Sterling Grey one at a later time, perhaps when I'm in Tokyo! Wish i had gemstone green to try out too!

Fancy a pair? Nadnut is giving out 5 pairs of contact lenses to her readers!!! Just tell her what color suits you, and why. Leave it in her comment box! Go now!

Hello. I'm still alive! Dec. 22nd, 2009 @ 05:36 pm
[info]wwenzz
Been having writer's block thus the lack in posts. Plus it's that time of the year when festive mood kicks in. So i've been really lazyyyyyyy and random on everything.

This morning, i felt like this.

The weather was perfect for snoozing and i almost couldn't get out of the bed. When i got to work, things were moving so slowly that i've the time to put together a mini x'mas tree.

Tada! End product.

Yesterday was rather quiet and mundane too. Good thing Daniel bro swung by for lunch else i would have been bored to death. Lunch was a tasty bowl of seafood-based ramen and 2 plates of gyoza at Menya Shinchan. After lunch drinks were x'mas coffee at TCC. Ahhh, it was a gooooood break!

Okay, here's another random. Last sat, i finally set my arse down at TWG for a pot of Sweet France tea and strawberry + marshmallow tart. It gonna be my next favourite place for high tea cos everything's nice, even the service too.

Latest Project: Dive Asia Now Dec. 22nd, 2009 @ 03:00 am
[info]foxyseven
This is one of my latest completed project, which was actually completed at least 1.5 months ago, but the other projects I have on hand are still on-going, so I don't really wish to publicize them yet.

More of the logo up close at:

I love the Business Card for this and how well the font (DIN) goes with it! I haven't seen it in print yet, but i'm waiting to! : )

Only passion keeps me going. I love it when the clients tell me "NICE. It's worth the wait!" Thank you Jackson and Jacki!

Blue Hair Dec. 21st, 2009 @ 04:57 pm
[info]foxyseven
Remember the dye i got? and my blonde hair? Well mix them together and.....

Voila!

I now have blue hair! With some purple highlights. So now it looks purplish-blue on the fringe and very, very blue at the back. I honestly prefer this more than the blonde. I feel a little chao lao with the blonde. Was cool while it lasted!

Life's just great. Damn happy with my new hair color. Finally looking forward to the trip!

Getting to this color was a pain in the ass though. Had to bleach my hair over 2 days, sat on the chair for at least 7 hours bleaching my hair. And then had to color it and the color fail. So had to get another hairdye and recolor which means another 1.5 hrs of sitting time. Luckily it turned out amazing. ELSE!!!

The dye I used was VeroPak Chrome, in Really Blue. Done at Chapter 2, Plaza Sing Branch(i brought my own color down though). Bleaching + coloring cost me $189, and the blue color touch up was $54 or somewhere around there. My lovely hairstylist is Priscillia.

Here she is with her awesome ash purple hair.

Can't wait to see how the blue contacts from Freshlook will look like with my blue hair tmr!

Gone to the black side Dec. 20th, 2009 @ 02:43 am
[info]foxyseven
After pre-ordering a week ago, then calling and getting hung up by SingTel, then surviving another customer service officer ("huh? pre-order? you mean you ordered online?" sheesh.), getting transferred to the promotion department and bargaining my way through to my $150 voucher, and surviving yet another "huh? pre-order? you ordered online?" CSO at the hello shop itself, I finally got my Blackberry!

And the price i got it?
An unbelievable $48.

Well that's cos my line with SingTel had actually expired and I got myself a $150 recontract voucher, + an additional 100 from subscribing to BIS for 12 months. That's a total discount of $250 off the $298 handset price (iTwo Value plan). Awesomeness!

Goodbyeeeeee Nokia E71!

The BB 9700 is lighter than the E71!
I'm now a die hard fan of Blackberry! This thing has won me over like how my darling MBP had. *caresses both sleek gadgets* Fast, responsive.

And very amazingly, after my lucky boyfriend tinkered around with it, my BIS got activated! On the same day I bought the handset, when it usually takes up to 3 days. Hohoho! Must be the Christmas season.

After reading some reviews, I've decided to go to Digiskin tomorrow at The Cathay to skin it rather than choosing the popular GMask option. Let's hope it turns out gorgeous and uh..... not so pixelated.

This is my desired skin. : )

(Original image from Deviantart, "Obsidian" by xlopp)

On a very happy side note, I finally got the blue dye from an anonymous source (THANK YOU!!!) and I'm gonna go back to the salon to get it done!

I really hope it turns out great, or else I'll really smack myself. Busy as hell till I fly for Japan. Woohoo! I think the boyfriend's an extremely awesome trip planner. Wouldn't have wanted to go there without him. Falalalala, lalalala!
